Dr Vanessa Maugeri - Osteopath, Essendon

Vanessa graduated from RMIT with a double degree of Bachelor Applied Science (Complementary Medicine) and a Bachelor Applied Science (Clinical Science)/Bachelor Osteopathic Science.

Since graduating Vanessa has worked as a locum at numerous clinics as well as working casually at RMIT tutoring anatomy and osteopathic technique classes.

Vanessa’s interest in Osteopathy began with a curiosity for illness and “back pain.” Her particular interest is in the human anatomy and how this can be influenced to help the body’s self-healing abilities to recover from illness, reduce pain and improve quality of life.

Vanessa enjoys the challenges of diagnosing and treating, with the aim of holistic treatment to try and find the primary cause of the problem. Vanessa uses a variety of techniques in her approach to treatment and where possible, she enjoys working with the patient to strategize ways to prevent reoccurrence of common musculoskeletal complaints.
