Osteopathy is a system of health care that utilises skilful hands-on physical techniques to correct dysfunctions of the body that are causing and maintaining pain. These techniques may include specific deep tissue massage, manipulation, postural balancing and exercise. Because osteopathic treatment is based on a thorough investigation and subsequent diagnosis, it is often highly effective at getting to the cause of your pain and preventing it from coming back.

What training does an osteopath have?
Osteopaths must complete a 5 year degree course and be registered by the Osteopathic Registration board in order to practise in Australia.
How long will the treatment take?
Initial consultation including case history, examination and treatment may take up to 1 hour. Returning patients may require 30 - 45 minutes depending on individual presentation.
Can I claim osteopathic treatment on my health insurance?
Rebates are available through most private health insurers. Osteopaths are TAC and Workcover approved.
